IN CONVERSATION WITH RALEBALA RALI MAMPEULE

MOVE SA, founded by entrepreneur and community builder Rali Mampeule, enters South Africa’s political landscape with a strong emphasis on accountability, transparency, and service delivery. Mampeule, known for his work in housing and infrastructure through the African Housing & Infrastructure Fund, has facilitated over 68,000 housing opportunities and supported more than 11,600 jobs. His move into politics is framed as a response to citizens’ frustration with “politics as usual,” promising to put communities at the center of decision-making.
The launch of MOVE SA comes at a time when South Africa faces youth unemployment at 47.4%, service delivery failures, and growing disillusionment with traditional parties. Mampeule’s party pledges to prioritize education, healthcare, economic development, and municipal accountability, while engaging directly with communities through branch structures. With over 70 branches established in Gauteng within 30 days and more than 5,000 members already registered, MOVE SA is positioning itself as a grassroots-driven alternative that speaks directly to the needs of young people and marginalized communities.
