The Gauteng Department of Social Development is continuing its
community outreach and service delivery programme through an
Integrated Service Delivery Blitz aimed at bringing essential

government services closer to residents.
On 15 July 2026, Gauteng MEC for Social Development Nomantu
Nkomo-Ralehoko will lead the initiative at Daggafontein Sports
Ground in Springs, Ekurhuleni. The programme forms part of the
department’s ongoing efforts to improve access to social services and
strengthen coordination between various government departments
and agencies.
The outreach also coincides with activities marking Mandela Day. As
part of the commemorations, the MEC is expected to visit a local Early
Childhood Development centre, where she will donate educational
toys, assist with meal preparation for children, and hand over party
packs.
