The DA has gone to court to challenge a Tshwane council decision to dock Deputy Mayor Eugene Modise just two months' salary after a forensic report found he breached the councillors' code of conduct by benefiting from a company doing business with the city. The party argues the sanction is too lenient and risks setting a dangerous precedent for public officials found guilty of ethical misconduct.
