Community Canvas with Joburg Child Welfare

Loading player...
Today on Community Canvas, we shine a spotlight on an organisation that has spent more than a century protecting and caring for some of South Africa’s most vulnerable children. Since 1909, Joburg Child Welfare has been providing care, protection, healing, and hope to abused, abandoned, neglected, orphaned, and vulnerable children across Johannesburg and surrounding communities.

Through adoption services, foster care support, gender-based violence programmes, community centres, and youth development initiatives, the organisation continues to impact thousands of lives every year while working to create safer and more supportive environments for children and families.

Joining us today is a representative from Joburg Child Welfare to share more about the important work they do, the realities many children continue to face, and how communities can play a meaningful role in protecting and supporting the next generation.
