Anele Precious Mthethwa, born in Durban and raised in Mayville, KwaZulu-Natal, is a singer, songwriter, worshipper, and thespian whose artistry blends contemporary gospel, commercial music, and theatrical storytelling. Nurtured by a musical household where her mother led a choir, Anele’s early exposure to music shaped a calling that has reached national and international audiences.

She gained recognition alongside her twin sister through Idols South Africa, and has since collaborated with artists such as the late Zahara, Nomthie Sibisi, and Philani Mbambo, while joining the celebrated gospel ensemble Joyous Celebration. Beyond music, Anele stars in the theatre production MoTown Queens, directed by James Ngcobo, and forms half of the duo Aneliswa with her twin sister Neliswa Makhubela, releasing the EP Isfungo and preparing for their first live recording. Driven by purpose, Anele uses her music and performance to inspire, heal, and create meaningful art that resonates deeply with audiences.
