From childhood, girls are often told to be polite, agreeable, and accommodating — even at the expense of their own boundaries. This “nice girl” conditioning can mute voices, blur identity, and teach compliance over courage. But Jesus Himself wasn’t “nice” in the safe, sugar-coated sense — He was kind, truthful, and direct, even when it ruffled feathers. The challenge for today’s girls is to discern when to maintain peace and when to disrupt it for the sake of truth and self-respect.
