Wandile Ndabazandile, professionally known as War-ndile, is an emerging South African artist celebrated for his versatility and passion for music. Born on April 5, 2000, in Gauteng and originally from Willowvale in the Eastern Cape, he was raised by a single mother after losing his father at a young age.
War-ndile’s love for music began at Umzamo Primary School in Thokoza,where he joined the choir in grade five. His professional journey started in 2015 with the group Matla Africa, gaining recognition as a rapper and songwriter. By 2016, he was recording music and performing at events in KwaZulu-Natal.
After completing high school at Greenfields with a bachelor’s pass, War-ndile dedicated himself fully to music. He released his first piano EP under Exfure Duo, produced by Gash Beats SA and DJ Philani, followed by a hip-hop EP titled Thrive. He also ventured into acting, earning a certificate for a performance in a play addressing alcohol and substance abuse, despite being a non-drinker.
Between 2021 and 2023, War-ndile performed at events including Cyiyanxiba, Thebulcony, AMPD Studio, and Solomzi. In 2024, he collaborated with Dokotela Webeat, releasing tracks such as Kiing Kong, Road to East, and Stressed. His Amapiano hits like Isimo, Udlalile Ngami, and Amagama Othando have garnered attention, establishing his signature sound.
Despite challenges, including supporting his daughter Hlelolwenkosi and working part-time at McDonald’s, War-ndile remains committed to his craft. Active on TikTok and Facebook, he continues to grow his presence and connect with fans.
