Although even mothers can be deadbeat parents, research shows that a majority of children in South Africa have absent or deadbeat fathers. Understandably, there can be various reasons for the other parent not being present in the child’s life – what happens when the child passes away? Mpho Mashita and Jones Netshipise talk to Founder of Ringa Dlozi, Lesego Malapane about the processes of burying a child when the other parent is a deadbeat and what some of the after effects can be if these processes are not followed.
