The Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities (DWYPD), together with the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC), in collaboration with the Limpopo Provincial Government, will host the 2025 National Women’s Day Commemoration on Saturday, 09 August 2025.
The event will take place at Nkowankowa Stadium in the Greater Tzaneen Local Municipality, located in the Limpopo Province.
This year, Women’s Month is observed under the theme:
“Building Resilient Economies for All,”
emphasising the critical role of women in driving inclusive, sustainable economic development across all sectors of society.
The commemoration will honour the legacy of the women of 1956 while spotlighting current efforts to advance gender equality and economic resilience in South Africa.
