Parliament has officially passed the 2025 and 2026 Appropriation Bills during a sitting at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The bills, which allocate funding to all national departments, secured backing from the DA, IFP, ActionSA, BOSA, Rise Mzansi, and others. However, they were firmly rejected by the EFF, MK Party, and ATM. The session included debate, departmental budget votes, and the final reading - a key legislative step in enacting the national budget. Phemelo gets reaction from the DA’s Karabo Khakhau.
