Phemelo speaks to Gauteng Infrastructure Department spokesperson Theo Nkonki about an ongoing court battle over the illegal occupation of the Bagomane Primary School in Diepkloof, Soweto. Despite living with no electricity and sharing communal taps and toilets, the occupants refuse to leave, demanding proper housing. Nkonki says the department is seeking a lawful resolution through the courts to ensure the safe and legal removal of the residents.
