Girl, 3, killed by dogs in Ekurhuleni

A three-year-old girl was mauled to death by a pack of dogs in the Marathon informal settlement in Germiston. The child died en route to hospital. The dog owner fled after angry residents demolished his shack. Local councillor Geoffrey Mthembu confirmed the family is receiving support, and a joint effort with the SPCA is underway to track the dogs and raise awareness in the community.
