The ANC has challenged the DA to clarify whether it plans to stay in the Government
of National Unity (GNU) or revert to opposition, after the DA partially withdrew from
the National Dialogue over the dismissal of its deputy minister, Andrew Whitfield. The
DA says it remains in the coalition but won’t engage in dialogue until corruption-
related demands are met. The ANC argues this could undermine the spirit of the
GNU and calls for clarity from the DA.
