The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) has confirmed the tragic death of Member of Parliament Khethamabala Petros Sithole, who was allegedly assassinated in Katlehong, Gauteng, on Saturday evening. He was 68 years old.
Describing the incident as deeply shocking and heartbreaking, IFP national spokesperson Mkhuleko Hlengwa stated: “It is with shock, sadness, and utter grief that the IFP announces the untimely passing of Mr Sithole, who was assassinated by unknown assailants.”
Sithole was a veteran within the party, serving on the IFP’s National Council and holding the position of Deputy Chief Whip in Parliament. Although specific details about the attack remain unclear, the IFP has called on law enforcement to act swiftly.
