From cancer to ALS to heart failure, palliative care improves outcomes, lowers stress, and helps families cope. So why do we only hear about it when someone is close to death? Dr. James MacMillan, Palliative Care doctor at St. Paul's Hospital and Board Member of the Canadian Society of Palliative Medicine (CSPM), joins Evan to explain what palliative care is and how misconceptions are harmful to patients of all ages.
