Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements Tasneem Motara has addressed researchers and policy practitioners on the issue of spatial disparities and challenges of rapid urbanisation and migration.
The symposium themed: Navigating the complexities of urban growth, building sustainable and inclusive cities in Gauteng City Region, will be held over two days and will bring together academics, sector experts, policymakers, researchers, and various human settlements practitioners and stakeholders to address the critical challenges of rapid urbanisation and migration.
The symposium will cover issues of spatial disparities such as spatial inequality, rapid urbanisation and growing informality, unequal access to resources and policy solutions on innovative approaches to address urban challenges and promote equitable urban development.
