Canada has launched 25 per cent tariffs on all vehicles imported from the United States that are not compliant with CUSMA, announced by Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday. These retaliatory tariffs come in response to a similar tariff put in place by U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday. To explain the extent of these tariffs on Canadians and the industry, Brent Loucks welcomes Charles Bernard, lead economist for the Canadian Automobiles Dealers Association (CADA), to the show.
