Angela Yeung – South African Mountaineer, Philanthropist & GBV Activist

Angela Yeung is a trailblazing South African mountaineer, jewellery designer, and passionate advocate against gender-based violence (GBV). In 2023, she made history as the first South African to reach the true summit of Mount Manaslu. Now, she’s embarking on an even greater challenge—ascending Mount Everest from the Tibetan side, a feat only one other South African woman has achieved in the past 26 years.

Beyond the physical and mental demands of high-altitude climbing, Angela is using her journey to raise awareness and support for GBV survivors. With extreme temperatures, limited oxygen, and the psychological toll of encountering fallen climbers along the way, her resilience and determination serve as an inspiration to South Africans and women worldwide.

Follow her extraordinary journey as she pushes the limits of human endurance to make a difference. #AngelaYeung #MountEverest #GBVActivist #SouthAfricanTrailblazer
