Yesterday, we talked about Job’s experience of grief and loss, and today we want to focus on God’s response to the understandable questions that Job had for why he was experiencing such pain. This is some of what God said to Job.

“Where were you when I Iaid the foundations of the earth?” (Job
38:4). “Have you ever in your days commanded the morning light?”
(Job 38:12). “Where does light live, or where does darkness reside?”
(Job 38:19). “Can you lead out a constellation in its season?” (Job
38:32).
