R100,000 assistance to a dad with Gillian Barre Syndrome

A 49-year-old Vanderbijlpark dad and husband, Emil Krügel, was a happy, healthy man - until 16 days ago, when he woke up unable to walk.

His wife, Sonia, drove him to the local hospital, not knowing what to expect as he was fine when they went to bed the night before.

Emil was diagnosed with Gillian Barre Syndrome (GBS), a condition probably caused by an infection - that leads to the immune system attacking the body itself.

The Good Morning Angels fund got the ball rolling to assist the Krügel family with Emil's medical bills with a donation of R100,000.
