In a Saskatoon City Council meeting earlier this week a motion was brought forward to create a buffer zone between any shelter and elementary schools in response to a proposed shelter location in the Sutherland neighborhood. The swift action of council to shut down the proposed shelter on the east side of the city has many residents in a west side neighborhood questioning why the same wasn't done when a shelter opened in their community. Pastor Robert Pearce with Fairmont Baptist Church in Fairhaven feels their community has been ignored and abandoned by Saskatoon city council. He joins Evan.
