Hier is meer inligting rondom die projek. Hierdie is 'n privaat projek en nie 'n munisipale projek nie. 10 jaar terug was daar 'n groep wat bekend gestaan het as NACOMA wat doodgeloop het maar wat wonderlike werk gedoen het in ons Dorop park/woestyn. Ons wil weer die toue optel en voortgaan met die projek. Die inisiatief is deur verskye mense geopper. Ons gaan hoofsaaklik noord van Hentiesbaai fokus. (hierdie is nie 'n munisipale of politieke inisiatief nie!)

Wat behels dit?
Die paaie na die hengel plekke moet geskraap word. die woestyn word vernietig deur voertuie wat orals ry omdat die paaie is so swak toestand is.

Areas moet toegemaak word om beskerm te word. bv Legeenvelde, welwitchias
Asdromme opgerig word buite Henties waar jou vullis weggegooi kan word as jy van die see af kom.

Hoe kan jy betrokke raak?
Ons is dringend opsoek na 'n padskraper geskenk, te koop, iemand wat vir ons die paaie kan kom skraap.
Finansies om die padskaper te koop of Diesel om die padskraper te laat loop
hande wat kan pale/klippe rondom die Welwitchias te plant/pak
Die woord te versprei en opvoeding te doen sodat ons die woestyn kan beskerm
Rommel rondom jou op te tel en huis toe te bring.
Ons as komitee werk onder die Hentiesbay Tourism Associastion wat al vir 20 jaar bestaan en geregistreer is as 'n NGO. Jaarliks finansiele state laat Audit. Maw finansies word beheer en enige iemand kan insae daarin hê.
Hierdie projek is nie net vir nou nie maar moet 'n projek wees wat vir meer jare vorentoe moet gaan sodat ons die Dorop park kan bewaar vir ons nageslag! Maw 'n volhoubare projek vir jare
