Effective today, Health Canada has lifted a ban on blood donations that stemmed from fear of mad cow disease. For two decades, people who lived or traveled in the United Kingdom or France for long periods of time in the 1980s and 1990s have not been allowed to donate blood. Provincial News Director Sarah Mills joins Evan to discuss the lifting of the ban and shares why the ability to donate blood means so much to her.
