‘She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the Name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.’
Christmas is far more than just the giving and receiving of gifts.
His Name, Jesus, means ‘God saves’ and that is why we celebrate.
Christmas is a picture of God extending His hand of salvation to us.
Take hold of the personal aspect of Christmas, His saving power is for you.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for sending Your Son to be my Lord and my Saviour. I open up the door of my heart and I receive Your Son as the great gift that You have given me. May my life never be the same again as I remember how You stepped in to save and rescue me.
