Running the Two Oceans half marathon for firefighting funds

Some of the 16,000 runners who set off at 6:30 AM yesterday on the Two Oceans half marathon would have seen the odd sight of two firefighter helmets bobbing along in the throng.

The helmets belonged to two City of Cape Town firemen who were running in full kit to raise funds and awareness Volunteer Wildfire Services, a non-profit dedicating to fighting the province's wildfires.
