Hot1027 DJ Mark Pilgrim has passed away after his lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 53.

He spent his final moments, with his fiancé at his side earlier today...

Mark started his massively successful radio career in the 80's and became the friendly, intelligent voice we all came to know and love.

He was a trailblazer who made the art of radio look easy to the outsider and he was known for his infectious laugh and optimistic outlook , even as he waged battles with cancer.
