Paardekraal Dam’s wall collapses due to heavy rains in North West

The wall of the Paardekraal Dam, outside Rustenburg, North West, has collapsed due to heavy rains in the area.
Residents and motorists in the Paardekraal, Sunrise Park, Popo Molefe, and Boitekong areas have been warned not to cross any bridges because they are already submerged.

A disaster management team from the Rustenburg Local Municipality has been dispatched to the area.
