Considered one of the most “evolving, exciting and collaborative vocalists”, Raashan Ahmad is known for crossing borders and boundaries by fusing elements of hip hop, soul, jazz, world music, funk, and different artistic mediums. He has worked with Wax Tailor, Blackalicious, Aloe Blacc, Keziah Jones, Stro Elliot (of The Roots), Fred Wesley, Nicola Conte and many more… and he’ll be a speaker at the festival’s Conversation Sessions on Friday 04 March and performing Constitution Hill (South Africa) on 05 March as part of ‘The Freedom Song Project’.
