What is the Compensation Fund?

On the 01 April 2021 the Compensation Fund published the Government Gazette on the Revised Employer Assessment Model Regulation on 1 April 2021 with the intention of reducing the number of Classes from 24 to 13 Classes with the inclusion of the Domestic Employers. Each Class will have its unique Assessment Tariff and the Tariff will be phased-in over 5 years starting from the current financial year (2021\22) . The process of reducing these classes will improve efficiency and service delivery. Sipho Moloya, Deputy Director of Employer Service joins us to discuss.
