In celebrating teachers across the province, the Gauteng Department of Education will, on the 26th November 2021, host the 21st National Teachers Awards. The awards recognize the impact of teachers in delivering quality education under very challenging COVID-19 pandemic conditions. The event will also see the Department host the annual Matthew Goniwe Memorial Lecture in celebrating the late teacher, community leader and struggle activist.
