With the current rolling blackouts expected to last until Thursday, the maintenance of Eskom’s infrastructure has been in the spotlight again.
“It seems to me that Eskom has not maintained the coal power plants properly, that’s were most of the breakdowns seems to be occurring. I think half the fleet has broken,” says energy expert Ted Blom.
