New initiative tries to make the science around Covid-19 easier to understand

The two are sitting outside, 2m apart, and chatting as part of an initiative launched by KRISP to simplify and take the messaging around Covid-19 to audiences that might not hear it or that might be put off by the intricate science of the pandemic.
Under the name “Jiving With Science”, the idea is to have conversations in order to dispel some of the myths and fears around Covid-19 and to answer questions people might have, particularly now as the vaccine rollout has begun in SA. So far, two videos have been posted online - one with Van der Spuy and the other with musician Guy Buttery - on YouTube.
