According to now widowed Lindsay Myeni, in the last hours of Lindani Myeni's life he sought spiritual protection, displayed erratic behaviour and told his wife Lindsay that he had seen his ancestors.
Later that evening the 29-year-old former KwaZulu-Natal rugby player took a drive to clear his head and never returned to their Honolulu, Hawaii home in the US.
The next day Lindsay found out her husband had been shot four times near their house during a confrontation with three Honolulu police officers outside a luxury six-bedroom Hawaii home which he had entered.
